I never get a confirmation when i send an email to my representatives. I would feel a lot better if it was confirmed so I know it was sent.

I think it would be better to just show the legislation headline with a simple yes / no voting option rather than include the current yes / no tally of those who have already voted. Seeing those numbers will influence, even if only subtly, the actions of those who vote.

Our military persons get 1/2 base pay as retirement after serving 20 years. Congress votes theirselves full base pay after 1-term. Shame on you - do something about this criminal act - sponsor a bill repealing this travesty of justice.

So that I don't have to scroll and navigate to vote on more issues.

The default auto selection for our mail is good, but sometimes the mail should also be sent to various committe members to get the point to the right audience.

Let users write their own bills and submit them for support by others on a separate section of the site. Maybe 2 or 3 supported bills per user (similar to how uservoice works) and bills would be "promoted" if they reach a certain level, so that they could be suggested to representatives, and everyone could vote on them normally.

Passwords are stored in a hidden text field in clear text. That is not secure solution for your users.

Recently, Govit added support for Facebook, which is great. However, I've been using the site for a while, and I'd like to be able to combine my old account with the "new" one created with Facebook. Basically, I just want all my old info/votes transferred.
